The ANIK is the slalom kayak for children who currently grew up from the smallest kayak DINO and now want to start learning to paddle real slalom, in gates. The ANIK kayak was designed based on research and analysis of previous kayaks, for children age 8-12. The Canadian coach, Michael Holroyd, took part in the project because he is of the same opinion that competitors up to age 14 years should paddle a boat that meets their current weight and size. The name ANIK comes from the two first letters of Michael´s children. The ANIK was downsized for smaller slalom paddlers from our master piece, the very successful kayak, CAIPI. Very young paddlers can now feel the same on the water, as their older mates in 3,5m long kayaks. The tail goes easily under water, the ANIK is stabile, and has good forward speed. The ICF length regulations start at 14yrs, and this boat allows younger paddlers to develop paddling skills in a developmentally appropriate boat, before they reach the junior age.

The cockpit rim is 6cm smaller in the length and 2cm in the width, so a regular spraydeck can be easily put on/off and at the same time it is fixed well. The ANIK is designed for children weighing 25 - 48 kg. The dimension: Length 316 cm, Width 57cm

The most popular construction, the Profi gives a robust high performance racing construction. Vacuum bag technology is used with a combination of 3 kinds of sandwich, MGS epoxy system, SGL Carbon/Aramid fabric with no glass fabric included. Carbon-Aramid fabric makes this construction suitable for more slightly rough treatment in comparison with our Carbolight. Aramid seams (outside and inside) and hard foam-pillars (Styrodur) protect the whole boat. Weights: K1 7.9-8.3 kg, C1 8.8-9.4 kg and C2 11.5-13.5 kg.
