The moderate round bottom ensures smooth running and precise steering characteristics. The Brooks 13 is suitable for short tours on small lakes and slow-flowing rivers.

Armerlite is een thermisch composietmateriaal waarbij glas- en polypropyleenvezels met elkaar worden verweven. De verschillende materiaallagen worden met de hand in de betreffende kano-vorm gelegd en met een vacuümkap afgedekt. Bij verhitting smelt het polypropyleen, waardoor het weefsel in het vacuüm poriënvrij wordt verdicht. Na afkoeling is de duurzame en lichte romp klaar. De sandwichbodem combineert enorme stijfheid met extra drijfvermogen.
